Paramelt® LMP & HMP microcrystalline waxes
Paramelt offers Paramelt® HMP and Paramelt® LMP microcrystalline waxes as alternatives of the well-known Shell microwaxes.These products were developed in anticipation of the closure of the Shell Pernis base oil refinery in The Netherlands and can be used in a wide variety of applications, like chewing gum and hot melt adhesives.
The Paramelt alternatives are manufactured under comparable process conditions, which results in very similar functional performance of the waxes in different applications. These products are marketed as Paramelt® HMP and Paramelt® LMP and processed under FSSC 22000 food safe certified conditions.
- Paramelt® HMP is a relatively hard, high melting point microcrystalline with a low oil content.
- Paramelt® LMP is a low melting point, flexible microcrystalline wax with a low oil content.
