Product assembly adhesives
We offer a broad range of water-based and hot melt adhesives for a wide array of product assembly applications, such as the production of strapping bands, pocket springs and mattresses, air filters, gypsum board, displays and document bags.
Plastoflex™, Plastomelt™ and Excelta™ hot melt adhesives
In our hot melt adhesive portfolio, we offer Plastoflex™ pressure sensitive adhesives and EVA-based or metallocene PO-based structural adhesives, respectively called Plastomelt™ and Excelta™.
Latyl™ & Enziflex™ water-based adhesives
Our range of water-based products for product assembly consists of homo-polymer, co-polymer, acrylic and starch-based adhesives under the Latyl™ and Enziflex™ brands.

Document and shipping-bags
Pressure sensitive hot melt adhesives are an important component in the production of document- or shipping-bags. We offer peel-able grades as well as products assuring a tamper-evident seal, adhesives with various ranges of temperature resistance and specific adhesion properties, both for flap-closing and bag attachment.
Displays
In the production of commercial displays, both water-based adhesives and hot melt adhesives are used. Printed high quality paper is laminated onto corrugated or solid board sheets using a water-based product. The adhesive needs to be fast enough to allow the sheets to be processed further asap, and also needs to guarantee a flat and smooth lamination to assure the quality and look of the final product.
After die cutting the laminated material, the three-dimensional display is manually assembled with a hot melt adhesive. Not every product qualifies for this application! It requires a glue with a long open time for the manual handling, a very good specific adhesion to the glossy surfaces and a strong cohesion to withstand the weight of the goods which can be offered for sale on the point-of-purchase display.

Gypsum board
We are active in the gypsum board production for many years now. Our water based dispersion adhesives have a proven track record for various applications in this industry. Seam gluing is the most important one, but we also supply adhesives for further processing of the board, such as adhering expanded Styrofoam for (sandwich) panel construction.

Air filters
Many aspects of the production process of air filters require a hot melt adhesive. It serves as a spacer between the pleated filter medium, but is also applied on top of the pleats to stabilise them. Furthermore, hot melt adhesives are used to fix the pleated filter medium into a frame.
But also for filter bags, hot melts are used. Very often, the seams of these bags are stitched, and to counter the stitch hole bypass effect, the seams are covered with a bead of hot melt adhesive.
The products we offer for the production of air filters meet the requirements of the process (viscosity, setting speed) as well as of the end use (heat resistance).
Pocket springs and mattresses
The mattress industry is an important segment of the market for product assembly hot melt adhesives. The products correspond with the various, and somewhat opposite requirements of this industry. They need to offer the open time for the various manual applications in mattress assembly, as well as fast setting properties to secure quality and production efficiency. Moreover, residual tack is not allowed as it will cause crackling noises during end-use of the product.
At Paramelt, we develop and produce various types of hot melts for foam to foam, foam to non-woven and pocket spring applications.
Strapping bands
We can supply adhesives for the production of various types of strapping bands.
Our hot melt adhesives are used in the production of polyester filament-based strapping band. The hotmelt holds together the yarns and is a key component in the performance of the final structure. These bonded strapping bands are known for their excellent price-performance ratio, as they offer great resistance, flexibility and ease of handling.
For heavier loads and harsher environments, very often woven strapping bands are used. They are a cheaper alternative to steel strapping, and are safer and easier to apply as well. Woven strapping bands are impregnated in water based dispersion adhesive to add strength, stiffness and resistance to the product.
